Frustration
It started on a river. André was on a rafting trip when a rough run snapped his sunglasses mid-ride, one lens gone, the rest of the day still ahead. It was the kind of frustration that sticks with you.
But it wasn't just the river. After more than 10 years working in the trades, André had spent a long time fighting the other side of the same problem: safety glasses that were ugly, uncomfortable, and the first thing workers pulled off the moment no one was looking. Two worlds, same broken gear.
So in 2022, Sunneys was born. The goal was simple: build eyewear tough enough to survive your worst day, certified to the highest safety standards, and designed for style so you can be confident to wear them — on the job site, on the river, or anywhere in between.
Our Principles
Every pair is certified to the ANSI Z87.1 impact standard. No exceptions, no compromises. Our Blitz Creek line additionally carries ANSI Z87+ — the high-impact rating.
If you're proud to wear your gear, you'll actually keep it on. We design eyewear that looks as good off the job site as it does on it — because real protection only works when you wear it.
Fogged lenses are dangerous lenses. Anti-fog coating ships standard on every Sunneys product — not as an upgrade, not as a premium feature. It's just how safety glasses should work.
